Germán Andrés Ortega

Germán holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with an emphasis on criminal law, and a postgraduate specialisation in Commercial Law from the same university. He is Managing Partner at Marín Ortega and serves as external legal manager for several companies through the firm’s Legal BPO model.

He has served on multiple private-sector boards, working on corporate governance, strategic decisions and risk management for senior leadership. He holds certifications in SARLAFT, SAGRILAFT and PTEE, with training in risk management and the reduction of business contingencies.

He teaches Criminal Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the application of artificial intelligence to legal work. He speaks at national and international events on legal technology and the automation of legal processes.

He leads Marín Ortega’s technology practice, developing legal management platforms, automated court enquiries and AI-assisted document generation. These initiatives include PetiYa, a publicly accessible platform.
